Advanced Standing Precedent List (ASPL)

The advanced standing precedent list (ASPL) enables prospective and current students to assess in a reliable manner the amount of advanced standing they are likely to receive on admission to a QUT course. QUT’s advanced standing policy aims to optimise student progression through award courses by recognising prior learning outcomes as the basis for satisfying some course requirements. Advanced standing may be based on formal and/or informal learning.

To apply for Advanced Standing at QUT you must submit an Application for Advanced Standing (AS Form - PDF Document). You must be a current student or have applied for admission to a course. Where an advanced standing application is based upon a precedent listed in the APSL you should clearly identify the precedent ID number against the advanced standing request to facilitate the processing of your application.

Further information regarding QUT’s advanced standing policy can be found in the Manual of Policies and Procedures (MOPP)
